Ceramic mural for Vienna

Austria – In Greinergasse in Vienna, art on ceramics now adorns the entrance area of a high-quality residential complex owned by Raiffeisen Wohnbau. Stylianos Schicho’s work “Flügelschlag” is spread over a total of 16 tiles and joined together to form a mural.

The ceramic tile wall with art was produced in collaboration with our sister company mz Toner Technologies. The pigments or toners were first applied to transfer paper using a laser printing process. These transfers are then decorated and fired onto ceramic tiles. Each partial motif is printed in one piece and measures 90×51 cm. In total, the mural stretches over 4 meters along the wall. The special thing about ceramic murals: after firing, the motif is permanently fused with the glaze of the tile and can withstand environmental influences of any kind.

The initiative for this art in construction comes from the client. Raiffeisen Wohnbau wants to promote high-quality living.
